Explore handleless style kitchens

Learn about handless style kitchens and gain inspiration for your project.

Minimalist Design. Maximum Craftsmanship.

A handleless kitchen is based on a simplistic flat slab door with the handle trim integrated into the carcase. Because there are no handles on the door fronts it gives a much more minimalist look. The j shaped trim is routed into the top of the cabinets forming a recess. This allows the door to be opened by placing your fingers at the back of the door and pulling open.

Front colours for the door are endless. Brushed stainless is the most popular choice for the handleless trim although it is also available in black, bronze, copper and white to achieve your desired look

The Look & Style

Handleless kitchens offer clean lines and a seamless finish. But at Rhodes & Wordsworth, there’s more beneath the surface. Each kitchen is handcrafted to measure, combining minimalist design with traditional British craftsmanship.

Is a bespoke handleless kitchen really worth it?

Yes — it means you’re not limited by standard sizes or finishes. Every cabinet is built for your space, down to the last millimetre.

Can I choose the style of handleless system?

You can. We offer both true handleless (with integrated rails) and J-pull doors, depending on the look and feel you’re after.

Do handleless kitchens suit busy households?

They do. We use durable, easy-clean finishes and ensure the layout works for your daily routine — not just aesthetics.

Will it look too minimal in a family home?

Not at all. The beauty of bespoke is that we can soften the look with warm tones, natural textures or clever lighting.

How involved will I be in the design process?

Very. We design with you, not just for you — every choice, from door profile to drawer layout, is yours to make.

What are my colour options?

We have a range of our own colours although we can match your kitchen to any colour sample provided if required.

What timber do you use to construct the doors?

Oak, Ash, Tulip Wood and American Black Walnut to name but a few.
